Game 1 Box       Game 2 Box

The Rhodes softball team battled hard on Sunday, overcoming a number of injuries, but came up short in both games against Austin.  In game 1, the Lynx out hit the Kangaroos 9-4, but left 10 runners on base, falling 3-1, depsite another strong pitching performance from freshman Sara Bowen.  Powered by a pair of home runs by sophomore Rebekah Moore, the Lynx battled back from a 10-5 deficit to tie game 2 at 10 in the bottom of the 6th, but couldn't push the winning run across, falling 15-10 in 8 innings.  The Lynx again out hit the Kangaroos 13-6, but the Kangaroos took advantage of an injury-ridden pitching staff which issued 18 walks on the day.  In addition to Moore's 2 dingers, sophomore Jennifer Whatley was 3-4 with 2 RBI in the game.
